ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

MARCH 19, 2009

 

 

7:00 P. M.      Called meeting to order.  Present:  Richard Gorden, Ellen Abelson and

                       Mark Mazur.

              

1.      The Board confirmed the appointment of Patricia Morrison to the position of

Administrative Assistant and discussed her salary.  The Board then met with

her briefly.  The Board also discussed her salary.

2.      The Board directed the Administrative Assessor to send letters, to each candidate

that had been interviewed but not chosen.  Because of the large number of

applicants, 133 the Board decided not to send letters to applicants who had

not been interviewed.

3.      The Board denied a fiscal year 2009 clause 17D exemption application to the

owner of Parcel 75-93.

               4.  The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2009 Community

Preservation Act (CPA) exemption applications for the owners of the

following parcels:

                       Parcel # 48-11          granted

                       Parcel # 33-5            granted

                       Parcel # 31-4            granted

                       Parcel # 29-3-1        granted

                       Parcel #  41-6           granted

5.        The Board signed a Statement of Entry into Tax Deferral  and Recovery Agreement.

6.        The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2009 applications

for abatement for the owners of the following parcels:

                                  Parcel # 94-24         granted

                                  Personal Property Account  #17924  granted

                                  Personal Property Account # 19897  denied

                        Personal Property Account #23905    denied

                        Parcel # 96-8    granted

                        Parcel # 75-1    denied

                        Parcel # 39-53   granted

                        Parcel # 72-53   denied

                        Parcel #  82-11-3 denied

7.      The Board denied an FY2009 clause 18 exemption application

for the owner of Parcel # 81-36
